Pig and Khao is hiring a Chef de Cusine!Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:- Managing a staff of 10 to 15 cooks- Hiring and training BOH staff- Ordering and maintaining food costs- Creating prep lists for the staff- Working with Chef Leah Cohen create specials and new menu items- Expediting- Maintaining professional standards- Working clean, efficiently, and with respect for ingredients- Ensure that all dishes are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and service standards- Keeping equipment clean and in excellent working condition- Maintaining a positive work environment via effective, professional communication with other employees and managersRequirements:- Experience working in a professional kitchen as a Sous Chef for a minimum of2 year-Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, procedures and equipment- Ability to think quickly and multi-task in a fast paced environment- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and writtenWhat we can offer you:-The ability to work team full of talented professionals-Internal growth opportunities-Option to join our Medical, Dental and Vision plans ( full time employees)-Commuter Benefits (full time and part time employees)We arean equal opportunity employer.
